Gulupa Eco Lodge

The Property — Gulupa Eco Lodge is a sustainable mountain retreat composed of handcrafted wooden cabins set within Colombia's lush cloud forest. Built with exposed brick, native timber, and traditional craftsmanship, the lodge merges into its natural surroundings rather than imposing on them. Each cabin features wide covered verandas with outdoor seating areas that frame panoramic mountain and valley views, open-plan interiors with vaulted wooden ceilings, and bedrooms dressed in locally woven colourful textiles. The property includes communal outdoor dining spaces, walking trails through the surrounding forest, and a natural swimming pond. Mature tropical gardens, mountain backdrops, and the ever-present sound of birdsong define the guest experience.
The Brief — The lodge owners were preparing to list the property for eco-tourism investment and needed visual content that would work across three distinct channels: an investment brochure targeting hospitality investors, booking platforms such as Airbnb Luxe and boutique travel sites, and social media campaigns targeting eco-travel enthusiasts. The core challenge was capturing the mood of the forest setting while still showing the quality of the construction and interiors. Previous photographers had made the cabins look either too rustic or too polished; the brief demanded balance.
What We Delivered — A photography package of 25 premium edited photos, four aerial drone shots revealing the lodge's integration into the forest landscape and surrounding valley context, a cinematic property video, and a 360° virtual tour of the primary cabin with interactive hotspots highlighting sustainable building materials and artisan craft details.
The Results — The visual package was deployed across the lodge's marketing channels with measurable impact. The 360° tour was shared with four prospective hospitality investors and two proceeded to formal site visits. New photos uploaded to Airbnb resulted in a 35% increase in save-rate within the first month. The drone video of the cloud forest setting achieved 47,000 organic views on Instagram Reels, driving direct booking enquiries from eco-travel bloggers. A returning guest who discovered the lodge through the new imagery booked a 10-night stay, up from the typical 3-night average, and specifically mentioned the photos "sold the atmosphere perfectly."
"You captured exactly what we couldn't put into words — the feeling of being here. The investors who visited after seeing the 360° tour already understood the property before they arrived." — Property Owner
